Aliso Viejo, California. - July 20, 2009
ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--Alentus Corporation, a leading provider of web hosting, dedicated servers, and managed hosting, announces the completion of major expansions to core backbone network connectivity.
In keeping with the Alentus commitment to the highest quality of network performance for mission critical operations, Alentus has doubled the size of their backbone capacity on their core networks serving the Columbus, Ohio and Edmonton, Canada datacenters. This addition builds multiple paths in the network while meeting growth demands for increasing dedicated server traffic.
“We have spent the past several months doing extensive fiber path research and carrier evaluation to pick capacity routes which not only grow our network but enhance its resiliency,” added Adam LaFountain, Vice President of Infrastructure. “In addition to overall capacity, we also installed additional core Cisco network routers in all of our datacenters and network termination points. We believe these upgrades will not only benefit existing customers but also attract additional resellers of our services.”
The backbone upgrades were completed on July 17th and are incorporated into the network for the entire Alentus customer base. A detailed offering of services is available at http://www.alentus.com.
