What is SecureStor and How Does it Work?
SecureStor is an online backup service that allows computer users to routinely backup and recover important data from their office workstations, laptops and/or LAN servers using a standard, secure Internet connection and fortified backup servers managed and maintained by Alentus Internet Services.

The SecureStor backup client is an easy to install software program that can be configured to automatically backup your computer's important data files on a daily basis. For your protection and confidentiality, all of your data is encrypted on the backup server and accessible only by knowing your secret encryption key code. Alentus server administrators are NOT able in any way to view your encrypted files on the backup servers.
Set It and Forget It
Unlike free online data storage or file sharing services, SecureStor does not require an FTP client or browser and time consuming manual steps to initiate a file transfer. Using SecureStor's built in scheduler, you can easily instruct the software to perform a daily backup of your designated files, whether you are at your workstation or not. SecureStor can even run as a background service and perform backups while you are working. If you want, SecureStor can be configured to send you email notices of successful backups or alert you to potential problems.
How Do I Get Started?
30-Day Free Trial Account - You can try SecureStor for 30 days absolutely free of charge. Our free trial allows you 250 MB of backup disk space and will allow you to test all of the features of the SecureStor backup service. To begin your trial of SecureStor, you will need to download and install the SecureStor client program onto your PC, laptop or LAN server. During the installation, you will need to Create a New Account. You will be asked to choose a secret password/encryption key, which is used by SecureStor to encryt your data and ensure that you are the only one able access your data on the SecureStor backup servers. You will also be asked to enter a valid credit card number, but your account will NOT be charged any fees unless you decide to transition your trial account into a paying account. The SecureStor client software can be installed on any Windows XP, 2000, 2003 (.NET) computer. |
