The Text/HTML module is the "Swiss Army Knife" of modules.  It provides a WYSIWYG editor for creating your own content either as HTML or as plain text.  The module interface is very similar to most popular document editors and should be easy to learn.

Use what you learned in Add Module to Page to add a new Text/HTML Module to your Page.

Step By Step: Edit Text (basic)

Your Module is initially created with no content.  Only the empty Container is visible, with its Title and Action Buttons visible.

1.   Click the Edit Text button (or select Edit Text from the Module Actions Menu).

On the Edit Text/HTML page you'll see that you (by default) are using the "Rich Text Editor" in Design mode.  This view provides you with the best idea of what your finished content will look like (WYSIWYG = "What You See Is What You Get").

2.   Type in a few lines of text... apply some formatting changes by selecting your text and clicking on the buttons in the Toolbar.

In Design mode, your content might look like this:

In HTML mode, your content might look like this:

If you prefer to create HTML content in another program, you can simply paste it into the HTML mode and click Design to see how it will look on your website.

3.   When you have done entering text, be sure to click Update at the bottom of the page to save your changes.  This is how your module would look to a website visitor.

Step By Step: Add an Image to Your HTML

You can add images to your content if you have already learned to Upload Files to your website.

1.   Click the Edit Text button (or select Edit Text from the Module Actions Menu).

2.   Click the Insert Image From Gallery button on the toolbar.

An Image Gallery window will open which shows the images in your website.  You can change folders by double clicking on them.

3.   Add the image to your module by double clicking the image or by selecting the image and clicking the Insert button.
