Your website is made up of Pages that display information to your site visitors. Most of those pages also have a clickable item in the Menu so that it is easy for visitors to find.
Navigation: How do you get to a page?
Pages are reached by clicking on Links. Although a simple example of a link is the Menu item that points to a page, links can also be created in other ways. A few examples of links you can create are illustrated below.

Content: What is displayed on a page?
Pages start out blank. You add information to pages by putting Modules on them. There are many types of modules available for displaying many different types of content. One of the most common is called the Text/HTML Module which simply allows you to put in whatever HTML or text that you like. The information on this page could be presented in an Text/HTML Module.
Security: Who can see or change a page?
Security is important. You may have information on your site that you don't want just "anyone" to be able to see. If your website allows visitors to register, you can give special Permissions to those Users.
There are two basic types of visitors that come to your website. The first type is one who is just browsing around and never registers or at least never logs on, these are called Unauthenticated Users. Unauthenticated users are anonymous.
The second type of user is one who logs in. In order to log in they must have registered previously and so they are referred to as Registered Users. Registered users identities are known and you can give them special permission to view or change pages that other users cannot.
Appearance: How does a page look?
Every new page always has the same "look" which is the default Skin for your website. "Skin" is the term used to describe the visual appearance and layout of your website's pages. A skin can be very simple or very elaborate. It can provide for horizontal or vertical Menus, supply different styles of Containers (like skins for Modules), provide for different column layouts, etc. Several skins are illustrated below.
